Ok, I know this has absolutely nothing to do with gaming, or anything related to gaming.
However, I just finished the book Freakonomics and it completely rocks. I have heard about the book for a while but I had never picked it up.
About a month ago I ended up at the authors’ blog when they were posting on the efficacy of child safety seats. I roamed around their blog for a little while and got hooked.
The book is written by an award winning economist from the University of Chicago and a writer for the New York Times and The New Yorker. It addresses great questions such as is sumo wrestling fixed, how to catch teachers that are cheating, and why do drug dealers live with their mothers.
The books contains lots of interesting discussions in a well written, accessible manner. I highly recommend it, especially to those who are already suspect of conventional wisdom.
